Royal wedding 2011: Everything about Catherine's look

I have to admit I cried during the entire wedding ;), to me this was the perfect royal wedding, it couldn't have been any better.

I was especially excited how Kate would look like and it really knocked me off my feet. A dream of a dress! And her make-up: So naturally! And because she looked so incredibly good, I'm concerning myself now with her look.

THE DRESS

A beautiful ivory gown (the color reminded of Lady Di's wedding gown color) with lace applique and many floral details. It was designed by Sarah Burton, head designer of the british label Alexander McQueen
. Catherine's wedding gown also reminded slightly of that dress that Grace Kelly/Gracia Patricia wore at her wedding.
The official Royal Wedding website revealed:
"Miss Catherine Middleton's Wedding Dress has been designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing. Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen's work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress."

THE JEWELLERY

Kate wore a beautiful small sparkling tiara with a long tradition. The tiara was made by Cartier in 1936. She was given Queen Mum when she became Duchess of York. The tiara was presented to Queen Elizabeth II. on her 18th birthday.

Her earrings were designed exclusively by Robinson Pelham. The royal wedding website says that they're  “diamond-set stylized oak leaves with a pear shaped diamond set drop and a pave set diamond acorn suspended in the center.” Their design was inspired new Middleton family coat of arms, which features oak
leaves and acorns. I love them!

THE MAKE-UP

According to some gossip, Kate did her wedding make-up herself just like she already did for the announcement of her engagement to William last year. It is very natural and she seems to feel confident with it.

If you want to copy it, prime you upper eye lid with a matte grey eyeshadow. Apply black kohl kajal around the eye and smudge it a little bit on the upper eye lid. Use black mascara and if needed trace your eyebrows a little bit to emphasize them. Use a rose blush on your cheeks and apply light pink lipstick on your lips.

THE HAIR

Her hairstyle was beautiful! Kate wanted it to be very naturally so that William recognizes her. Instead of a pinned-up hairstyle, she had big curls which were slightly snatched on the upper back of her head.

THE NAILS

Marina Scandoval, the woman who had made Kate's nails, told Daily Mail that the nail color was actually blended   out of two nude colors. The first one is called 'No. 28 Rose Lounge' from the label Bourjois which is exclusively sold only in the UK, the second color is from Essie called '423 Allure'.

I think her nails looked fabulous when William slipped on her wedding ring!

The first thing I'm gonna do now is trying to cover this color with my own nude nail polishs ;-)
