Empties #6

I never thought I would say that one day, but I am actually going through a lot of products on a regular basis. I've been accumulating empty products like a maniac, the reason also being that I used to never finish anything and therefore had a lot of just-about-empty bottles all over my bathroom. Long gone are the days of me thinking that way!
Since Empties posts will come a lot more frequently on this blog now, I am not going to talk about every single product in full as it's time-consuming and I find it really annoying (sorry!). Therefore, I will make the odd note here and there but that shall be it. However, if you want to know more about a certain product, you are of course more than welcome to ask about it in the comments and I will get back to you.

Artdeco Eyeshadow No.26

After rather extensively enjoying my last break in school (graduation comes closer and closer - eek!), I thought I'd share a little makeup gem with you that has been gracing my eyelids non-stop for the past week or so. It's the Artdeco Eyeshadow in the color 26 that has won me over completely and let me tell you that is rare as I'm not really an eyeshadow person!

 

January Fashion Favorites

After typing down my January Beauty Favorites about a week ago, I thought it would be a lovely idea to share some fashion and jewellery bits I'm into at the moment.

1. Infinity Scarves

I love infinity scarves as they are so easy to throw on and amp up any outfit I'm wearing. I got these two numbers for christmas/my birthday. The left one is from H&M and made out of heavy wool material and has tiny magenta-colored sequins running through it. The other one is from Pieces and has the most beautiful floral pattern I've ever seen. I genuinely love wearing them both!

 

Recently Picked Up #1

I thought I would introducte a new series to my blog today which I call 'Recently Picked Up'. I rarely ever buy a ton of stuff at once, so haul posts just don't work for me very well. Instead, I'll use this spot to tell you about products I've recently purchased and perhaps even my first impressions on them.

January Beauty Favorites 2013

As you can see, there's not too many beauty products this month for multiple reasons. First up, I've been sick pretty much throughout the entire month and the least thing I can be bothered with when feeling awful is makeup. Also school started again for me which means I take very little risk and tend to rely on the beauty bits that I know work for me. I feel an everyday makeup post coming soon...

Anyway, here's what made the cut this month:

Korres Lip Butter in Quince

Korres is a brand that has intrigued me for quite a long time now. It not being readily available where I live has made me stick to stalking their products online only and with every praise I read, I knew I wanted to try one of their lip butters. After checking out review goddess Adrienne it was Quince that won me over -- a mid-toned blue pink that would add only a hint a color to my everyday makeup while making sure my lips stay in tip top condition.

I am very far from being a hoarder or a messie, but I've been meaning to blog about these empty products for a while now and I just haven't gotten around to. I've binned them a long time ago (two months ago I believe?), so there's new trash that will find its way into your subscription boxes soon haha! Since they are an awful lot, I'm just typing down the product names. If you are interested in hearing my opinion on a certain product, please don't hesitate and contact me.

My struggles with blogging

Hi everyone!

Well first of all, thank you for being incredibly patient and not unsubscribing from this blog even though there was approximately zero activity on here for almost three months! I recently decided I wanted to blog again, but only under certain conditions which I am determined to explain to you.

In the past, I always went through phases of blogging and not blogging. In 2013, I want to break this habit. I realized I cannot keep up and post every other day, I've actually never really had the time for it due to being very busy in school and also working at a newspaper as well. Since I am graduating this year, I won't have it in the near future neither. Therefore I plan to take up blogging, but without stressing myself out too much. If I can post once a week, good! If I can post twice, awesome! But if I cannot post at all, well then so be it.

In 2012, the main thing I learned was to enjoy life as much as possible and mainly this: to only do what I really like doing in my free time. I do enjoy blogging, it enables me to write about anything I like and to share my passion with people from all over the world. I like to put as much effort as I can into everything that I am doing and so in 2013, I am going to post less, but aim to improve the quality of my blog posts.

I am thrilled to pick up one of my favorite hobbies again and am very excited to be able to share it with you.

I'll see you in my next post (which will be published within the next three months haha!)

My Week(s) On Instagram #9 (LIFE UPDATE!)

Hi guys!

I know it's been forever and a day since I wrote my last post on here (probably like two weeks ago!?) but I was truly busy and also had some health problems - namely a laceration plus concussion - that knocked me out and made the whole process of working like a mad women a bit more difficult. I thought I'd give you a little update on that and at the same time tell you I might stay a little more absent on here than I like to be for at least a couple more weeks. I haven't been instagramming much, simply because there's not too many exciting things in my everyday life haha! Anyway, on to the photos...

NOTD: p2 hold me tight

I am on a roll with NOTDs recently, I just like my nails a lot more than I used to do and also a quick coat of Essie Good To Go makes every single polish look a million times better and a lot more longlasting!

Speaking of nail polish, a brand I'm loving right now is p2. They have just revamped all of their counters and added lots of new colors and products to them, so when I was browsing the aisles of my local drugstore for throat pastilles, I simply couldn't resist picking up this little boy...

Empties #4

Hi everyone!

Long time, to talk! I am genuinely sorry about that, but I am just so busy right now that I barely have a minute or two to sit down and breathe after all, so I neglected my blog a whole lot which I never meant to but oh well, sometimes life doesn't go how you want it to, right? I am now trying to at least schedule two or three posts every weekend that go up throughout the week then, so fingers crossed this is going to work out!

Anway, I have of course accumulated a shedload of empty products while I was gone from the bloggingsphere and I thought I would give you some mini reviews on them!

OOTD: Casual Shopping Day

I was out and about in town with my best friend last Saturday and that was when I snapped a picture of what I wore to show it to you later. We basically spent the entire day shopping, drinking Starbucks and talking - a major catch-up is what is needed when you haven't seen your bestie in months! Anyway, on to the outfit...

Fall is near, guys! Not quite yet, but hey if there's something I'm way too excited for at this time of the year, it's nail polish shades. I have a small selection of colors I like to wear in fall/winter only as I feel like they are a lot more appropriate for when the leaves are falling and the air gets crispy... you know what I mean.

August Favorites

Hi lovelies!

First of all, let me excuse myself for my little absence from blogger, of course I haven't given up and everything, but school started again for me and so I wanted to get settled and adapt to my routine before starting to blog again. I'm a senior now and so school is really important to me, I hope you understand!

We're currently experiencing a super duper hot summer over here in Germany, so I've really been cracking out the brightest nail polishes I own recently, going from bright orange to vibrant turquoise until I have landed in the most girly color family of all: pinks!
